Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company was founded in 2000 at the initiative of the local governments of the Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions. The Company’s goal was to assure a stable supply of coal to local population and public utilities in these regions.

At the "Vinogradovsky" open-pit mine a new treatment facility was put into operation and development commenced on a second enrichment plant which has a planned capacity of 3.6 mln tonnes per annum. |
At the "Vinogradovsky" open-pit mine an “in-ground” coal storage facility with a capacity of 500 thousand tonnes per annum was put into operation. |
In 2011 the second stage of OJSC "Russian Railway" technical specifications on the development of private rights of way by LLC Freight Forwarding Company “Meret” were fully met. The following developments were also implemented: seven new receiving-departure lines, the second construction stage of the overhead contact system, an administrative office building, a freight wagon inspection station, a treatment facility, and also the reconstruction of the Uba central electrical station to increase potential coal loading volumes to 700 cars a day. In 2011 LLC Freight Forwarding Company “Meret” achieved record transportation volumes of 12.7 mln tonnes of coal. |

The first enrichment plant Kaskad with 2 mln. tonnes capacity is put into operation at Cheremshansky open-pit mine. The company constructs and opens the unique repair bay for heavy trucks. |
In 2010 the subsidiaries of OJSC "Kuzbasstoplivosbyt" reached the maximum volume of coal sales, which composed 1,416 thousand tonnes. |
In November 2010 the maximum volume of freight turnover of LLC “TEK Meret” was reached for the whole history of its existence, the volume composed 39.7 mln t/km. Also during that month the maximum volume of monthly coal shipping of OJSC "Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company” was reached, the volume composed 724 thousand tonnes. |

The Company completes exploration works and begins the construction of the Cheremshansky open-pit mine.
